|  WFWC-LP is a low power FM Station providing Christian-based programming to the Northern Wayne County community.
Steve Yelverton, an attorney whose practice is mainly as a legal consultant for radio stations dealing with the FCC, first proposed this idea to several members at FUMC. Steve is a member of FUMC but lives and works in Washington, DC. Hel felt that a low-power FM station would be the perfect way to expand the ministries of FUMC to the entire Northern-Wayne area at a minimal cost.
Today WFWC-LP operates from a small studio located at FUMC. The station produces about 67 watts ERP. Most of the content is from a wide variety of Christian music including Southern Gospel, Contemporary Christian and Christian Rock, Classical, Praise and Worship and traditional Christian music. Future plans include live broadcasts, community events, weekly Sunday services, and on-line streaming via the internet. "WFWC-LP is a low-power station with a high-powered message!" Tune in!
